從前，有一位名叫“仙歎”的大商人，擁有無數的財富。
平日裡，他常觀佛教明典，覺悟世間無常，榮華性命財富，難以保全，由此深知，唯有佈施行善，才能功德不朽。
於是，仙歎通告黎民百姓……
《六度集經》系列動畫短片 是根據《大正藏》第三冊中“六度集經”的部分內容改編製作，選取了6個典型故事分別對六波羅密進行淺層次的基礎解讀（佈施、持戒 、忍辱、 精進、禪定、智慧）。

Once upon a time, a great merchant, named XianTan had countless wealth. He often read the Buddhist sutras and understood the impermanence of life that all the glory, fortune and life are impermanent.
He got to know that only Charity would be the immortal merits. The 6-episode animated films are adapted from "The Collective Sutra of Six Paramitas" , documented in the third volume of "The Dazhengzang". Each of the six episode respectively explains one of the six Paramita, including Charity, Morality, Patience, Effort, Meditation and Wisdom.
